Post 209 Jukebox Bingo set for April 6 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church

American Legion Post 209 will hold its next JukeBox Bingo on Saturday, April 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on Camp Street.

“It’s a great family affair,” said Post 209 Commander Brian Avery. “It’s something that people look forward to and we are hoping to pack the house.”

Funds raised from the event support Post 209’s annual fishing derby, scholarships for area student to attend Boys State and Connecticut State Police Youth Week, as well as funding for Veterans Strong and other veterans’ groups in the area, he said.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per card, $10 for children 12 and under. Light refreshments will be served. For information, contact Bruce Barton (860) 810-8168, Bob Getz (860)919-0305 or Brian Avery (860) 384-5626.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
