BRISTOL — The local Jersey Mike’s Subs raised more than $16,000 for Make-A-Wish CT through this year’s “Month of Giving.”

Emily D’Alexander, marketing manager with Jersey Mike’s, said that throughout the month of March customers at 32 Jersey Mike’s locations throughout Connecticut had the option to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $2, or $3 when placing an order. Then, on March 27, Jersey Mike’s locations donated all of their sales to Make-A-Wish. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes of children with critical illnesses, arranging for them to travel to Disney or meet famous actors.
