Jerome Ave. crossing rebuild to start April 8

A map of the detour while the Jerome Avenue bridge in Bristol is under construction for months. The project should be complete by next July.

BRISTOL — The City of Bristol has announced reconstruction of the Jerome Avenue bridge will begin April 8 and a detour will be put in place.

The bridge over Freeman Hill brook will be closed for the duration of the project, which the Department of Public Works said is scheduled to be completed next July.
