Manon (Caron) Collins, 56, of Bristol, beloved widow of Francis “Fran” J. Collins, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (March 12, 2024) after a brave three-and-a-half-year battle with liver cancer.
Manon was born in Edmunston, New Brunswick on October 13, 1967, and was the daughter of Jeannette Caron and the late Belone “Ben” Caron. A lifelong Bristol resident, she graduated from Bristol Central High School and was a lifelong employee of Otis Elevator. Manon loved life and loved the outdoors, including long walks on the beach, bird watching and yoga. Manon will always be remembered as one of the most caring people who was always willing to help her friends and family under any circumstances. She was a member of St. Matthew Church, Forestville.
In addition to her mother, Jeannette, Manon leaves two sons, Jacob and Aaron Collins (who were the absolute joy and pride of her life and with whom she enjoyed every moment together); two brothers, Gerard Caron and his wife, Laura of Bristol, and George Caron of Vermont; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Michelle Collins, Patrick and Karen Collins, and Timothy and Orla Collins, all of Bristol; Glenn Sieber, her loving companion for the last 4 years; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Mark Caron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (March 18, 2024) at 1 PM at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Monday prior to the Mass between 10 AM and 12:15 PM.
